The Fear of Getting It Wrong
Mary sat quietly for a moment before speaking.
“What if I make the wrong decision again?”
Breed nodded gently.
“That fear,” he said, “stops more financial progress than bad investments ever do.”
Mary looked down at the papers in front of her.
“I think people believe money decisions are supposed to feel certain,” she admitted.
Breed smiled faintly.
“But most important decisions in life never feel completely certain,” he said. “Not marriages. Not careers. Not trusting people. And not money.”
He paused for a moment.
“The goal isn’t to eliminate uncertainty,” he continued. “The goal is to make thoughtful decisions without allowing fear to permanently freeze you.”
Mary leaned back quietly.
“For many people,” Breed said, “the real damage isn’t the financial mistake they made years ago.”
“It’s the belief that they should never trust themselves again.”
Confidence with money is rarely rebuilt all at once.
Sometimes it begins simply by allowing yourself to think clearly again without fear controlling every decision.
Because Financial Decisions Are Never Just Financial.
